Warrior Reds, Blackcurrant - 150 grams

A food supplement comprised of powdered fruit and vegetable extracts and the natural sweetener satvia. It would be impossible for any reviewer to objectively state that this product had improved their health, of course, especially in the short window given for reviews, but a big glass of vitamins and minerals in the morning can't be a bad thing, right? Well, possibly. Whilst this is described as a 'shake' you actually dissolve it in water, or more accurately fail to dissolve it in water as most of it deposits itself in a heap at the bottom of the glass. This genuinely struck me as odd, as one would imagine that the makers would have sorted that isuue out as something of a priority before putting it on the market, but obviously not. Anyway, once you've spent a couple of minutes fruitlessly (hah!) stirring it with a spoon, whisk, handblender, etc to try and get it to dissolve, it's time to drink it, whereupon it tastes like a hyper-sweet glass of Vimto or a similiar mixed fruit cordial. With grit in. It's certainly not blackcurrant flavoured, and looking at the ingredients list it's hard to grasp why they've decided that is the flavour. So, not for me then. it's just too nasty. Back to a modest range of breakfast wines.

This blackcurrant shake comes in a black 30 servings tub, with a scoop. It contains an assortment of berries, melon, grapefruit, beetroot,carrots , 16 in all, and is loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and sweetened with stevia..The instructions are to add one scoop to 150 mls of water, mix and drink immediatly. It mixes reasonably well but does have a few gritty bits in the bottom so you just need to swish it round a bit at the end.The main taste for me is blackcurrant and beetroot which personally I dont mind, its not unpleasant at all.The health benifits should be good. claims that you should feel in your 40`s and fifty`s as good as you did in your 20`s but obviously this takes time so I cannot really comment on this just yet.

This arrived without any helpful instructions (should it have been in a box?) so my first attempt to make a drink resulted in a gritty sludge. You obviously need to make a paste of the powder and stir well into a little of the water/milk before adding the rest of the liquid.The ingredients etc are printed in minute writing on a black label so unless you have excellent eyesight, you might need a magnifying glass. The info given is very basic, . just listing the 16 different fruits used. The initial smell of the drink is extremely fruity and I was looking forward to a pleasant taste, but YUUUKK! It reminded me of cough syrup and with a bitter aftertaste. Going back to the label with my magnifying glass I tried to identify which of these fruits might be responsible, and found under product information that it has been sweetened with Stevia. Horrid. A short life and a merry one for me,-- this is going in the bin.

This is a food supplement blend, provided as a powder to mix with water. It contains many healthy ingredients such as pomegranate, blueberry, raspberry, loquat, beetroot and carrot - 16 "superfoods" in all. A 5gm scoop is included in the tub, and one scoop mixes with 150ml of water to make a serving. The tub is lacking information as to what 5gm of the product contains - the ingredients are listed, but there's no nutritional information or exact details on the vitamin and mineral content. There's also nothing about the origin of the ingredients, the company etc. The list of ingredients is an excellent group of beneficial foods though - this is really the main selling point of the product. The taste is sweet and fruity, with blackberry, strawberry and loquat being key parts of the flavour. The product is naturally sweetened with stevia, and it doesn't taste artificial as such. However the contents don't dissolve that well - there's sediment and gritty bits at the bottom, which aren't particularly enjoyable to consume, especially regularly. The label describes the product as a "blend" but the listing on MYSUPPLEMENTSHOP calls it a "shake" - I'd say blend is a better description, because you really could shake this all day and it wouldn't properly dissolve. The best use of the product is possibly including it as an ingredient in other things (e.g. smoothies) or even sprinkling thinly on porridge or cereal. As a mixture on its own though it's more a medicine than something to enjoy - mainly because of the bits in that last mouthful. A word of warning to check over the ingredients over if you are taking any medication, grapefruit is one that has been identified before as something that can interfere significantly with the effects of medicines, but there are a number of ingredients in here to consider - full list is below, which seems to exclude stevia although it is mentioned on the label. Ordered both Red and Green supplement. Both arrived and sealed lid on both tubs had been tampered with a needle hole in both. Unable to use as no idea what could have been injected. Tube should have seal on **** lid for safety.
